Install SiteSuite, then shape it around your store.
SiteSuite is installed as a BigCommerce app. The core experience lives inside the BigCommerce control panel, so setup is mostly about authorizing the connection and choosing which parts of the workspace you want to use.
1. Install from BigCommerce
- Open the SiteSuite listing in BigCommerce.
- Select the install action.
- Review the requested permissions.
- Approve the installation.
- BigCommerce opens SiteSuite inside the control panel.
2. Set up the Dashboard
The Dashboard is the fastest way to make SiteSuite feel like your own workspace. Open Customize to add or remove widgets, drag them into place, resize them, organize sections, and save the layout.
You do not need to fill the dashboard. A smaller store may only need a few cards; a busier operation can use more widgets and more structure.
3. Choose your Notifications
Notification rules are opt-in. Open Notifications → Rules, choose the events you care about, set delivery and recipients, review any conditions, and enable the rule.
Current notification categories cover customer registrations, orders and order status, order messages, unfulfilled and incomplete orders, refunds, gift certificate orders, inventory changes, Store Log warnings/errors, and BigCommerce incident signals.
4. Open Tools when you need them
The current Tools workspace includes Invoice Designer. It can load the printable merchant or customer invoice template from BigCommerce, let you edit it, and replace it back in the store.
Invoice Designer uses BigCommerce WebDAV access for that workflow. SiteSuite does not save the WebDAV username or password.
5. Review Settings and Support
Use Settings for connection information, app preferences, data controls, and support access. If you need help with a store-specific issue, the in-app Support area is usually the best place to start because the request can stay tied to the correct store.
Recommended first setup
- Keep the default dashboard simple, then add only the widgets you want to revisit.
- Enable two or three high-value notification rules first.
- Confirm recipients and delivery mode before enabling more rules.
- Open Invoice Designer only if you need to work on printable invoices.
- Check Settings so you know where connection and support controls live.
Troubleshooting installation
SiteSuite does not open: return to BigCommerce Apps and relaunch it from the store control panel.
The store connection looks incomplete: check Settings first, then contact support if the status does not recover.
A notification is not arriving by email: confirm the rule is enabled, the recipient is correct, and the store still has email capacity. Check the in-app notification history as well.
Invoice Designer cannot load the current file: verify the WebDAV credentials and BigCommerce file-access settings.
