User guide

Use SiteSuite as a toolkit, not another system to babysit.

The app is designed so a merchant can use a small slice of it or build a deeper operations workspace. This guide covers the portions that are currently available.

Dashboard

The Dashboard is a configurable workspace rather than a fixed report page. Use Customize to add widgets, drag them to a new position, resize them, create or rename sections, and adjust spacing. Save when the layout fits the store.

Widgets are designed to change how much detail they show as their size changes. Smaller cards keep the essentials; larger cards can reveal more activity or context.

A good starting point

  • Keep a few high-value metrics or activity cards visible.
  • Put related information in the same section.
  • Use a denser layout for operations-heavy stores and a simpler layout for smaller teams.

Notifications

Notifications has three jobs: show recent activity, keep history available, and let you control which events deserve attention.

Current rule categories

Rules cover new customers, new orders, incomplete orders, order-status changes, order messages, unfulfilled orders, refund submissions, gift certificate orders, low stock, out of stock, stock replenishment, Store Log warnings/errors, and BigCommerce incident signals.

Delivery choices

Depending on the rule, SiteSuite can use in-app notifications, email plus in-app delivery, or digest-style email plus in-app delivery. Recipients and conditions are set per rule.

History

The current Notifications inbox includes a 90-day history view. Email capacity does not remove the in-app record when a matched event is retained.

Tools

Tools is the home for focused merchant utilities that add capability around the native BigCommerce control panel.

Invoice Designer

Invoice Designer can work with both merchant and customer printable invoice templates. Connect using BigCommerce WebDAV, load the existing template, edit it, and replace it back in the store.

SiteSuite does not save the WebDAV username or password used for that connection.

Billing & email capacity

SiteSuite includes 25 notification-email deliveries per store per calendar month. Each recipient delivery counts against the allowance. The allowance resets at the start of the calendar month in UTC and unused capacity does not roll over.

When additional capacity is available through BigCommerce billing, the store can add more email delivery without changing the rest of the app. In-app notifications continue separately from email capacity.

Settings

Settings contains connection and activity information, app preferences, data controls, and support entry points. Use it when you want to confirm how SiteSuite is connected or review merchant-controlled support/data options.

Support

For a store-specific problem, use the in-app Support workspace when possible. It keeps the request tied to the correct store and can include merchant-authorized diagnostic context. For general help, email support@sitesuiteapp.com.

A simple operating routine

  1. Open Dashboard to see the store information you chose to keep visible.
  2. Review Notifications when something needs follow-up or historical context.
  3. Adjust Rules when the store's priorities change.
  4. Use Tools for focused jobs that do not need to live in your everyday workflow.
  5. Use Support when you need help with SiteSuite itself.
